Understanding the Challenge: Gender-based violence affects individuals of all genders, but women and girls are disproportionately affected. It encompasses various forms, including physical, sexual, emotional, and economic abuse. Gender-based violence is deeply rooted in power imbalances, harmful social norms, and discriminatory practices. OPAD acknowledges that addressing this challenge requires a comprehensive approach that includes prevention, protection, and support for survivors.
Program Objectives: OPAD’s Gender-Based Violence programs are designed to achieve the following objectives:
