World Climate Civility Day (May 13-15)
May 13 - May 15Free
On May 13, 2020, The World Climate Civility Day will be launched by OPAD, in partnership with the UN, NGO’s and organizations worldwide to call attention to the need to address the Earth’s changing climate. WCCD will address how to mitigate the extreme weather patterns brought on by careless excesses that have brought the greenhouse effect, using civility as the platform for the opening of the discussion.
The call is for all people, not just those who are activists or have a cause, but anyone who believes we can intervene, now, to mitigate and address climate issues. The most effective way to do this is with kindness, honesty, and realistic goals, spoken about from all points of view, not just those who agree, but those who would question, and those that would choose caution, anyone with a voice, that is courteous and willing to hear and be heard.
